The Industrial Safety Chair at the Mines ParisTech has, as a mission, to ensure the development and quality of research, training and technological transfer activities required for the creation and application of better risk management strategies and practices.

The Chair is held by Pr Erik Hollnagel. He is assisted by Dr Denis Besnard and Dr Eric Rigaud. Four PhD students are also included in this team : Luigi Macchi, François Pieri, Eduardo Runte and Damien Fabre.

The industrial partners of the Chair are FIMMM (a French federation of industries), Total, AGF (an insurance company), Arcelor-Mittal, Gaz de France, Inéris (a French risk-specialised research insitute), Apave (A French training and consultancy group), SNCF (French railways) and the Alumni from the Mines ParisTech.
